Blog: The First...

Dear Diary,
Today I made a blog. Jon told me to.
I was plagued with the daunting task of deriving Blog: The First... What in the world could possibly be so imperative in my life that it requires the luscious title of FIRST BLOG on Dr. Ang? Well...I have decided that of all the importance that ever was in my life right now, the first thing I should discuss should be a review for the wine that I started drinking at noon today... today being a tuesday.
I suppose I should also mention that just this second (while making this post), I decided that all pictures I post should have me in it if they would otherwise be boring. Because all pictures are better if I am in them. Me. Meeeeeeeee!
I should probably note that I'm not actually a total narcissist... but perhaps I'll leave that to you, the reader, to decide over time. If this blog continues beyond the next hour.
Alright then, so all formalities out of the way.... Here you go, internet:

Wine: Casillero del Diablo
From? - Chile
Type: Red (Cabernet Sauvignon)

Review:  When I was in peru, I drank this wine a lot. Not because I liked it... but because the water required me to ration out my chlorine tablets (I wasn't exactly staying in the finest locals) and the peruvian wine was... slightly less than delectable. Anyway... after a period of weeks, coming home from the orphanage I was volunteering at and dealing with the psychological nonsense that my brain loved to put me through after seeing the things we saw regularly, my buddy Dan and I would go to this bar and get horribly undercooked fries and drink this wine.
This wine... if you read the back of it... states the following:  A smooth (type) full of cassis and black cherries complemented by hints of mocha an dark chocolate. A great choice to match with red meats, herby dishes, or mature cheeses.

Now... I'm a vegetarian and I have a bit of an irrational fear of mould, so I don't eat red meats OR mature cheeses. What I do tend to do, is drink wine on its own in the middle of the day before I try in vain to be productive. Diablo is one of my favourite wines for doing such a thing, particularly if its not the middle of the day; but rather - night time.

So long story short if you're into wine that tastes relatively like wine and not like headache... thats not fruity but is kind of like "yeah I could see me liking this with garlic perhaps, but probably not sushi or mac and cheese" who knows! Maybe this will be the wine for you!

Wow! What an adventure that was~ !
Tune in sometime soon for the next pile of nonsense that my brain decides to ram out in blog form!
Same Bat Time, Same Bat Channel!

-Dr.A.
